On Friday, August 13, at 19h, Most Rev. Metropolitan Ephraim officiated in the last holy Paraclesis Service in the Holy Cathedral of Hydra. Subsequently, at 20h30, in the Conference Hall, together with the holy clergy and the authorities of the island, he attended an event where a public lecture was delivered by Very Rev. Archimandrite, Father Vartholomaios Triantaphyllides-Antoniou, Secretary of the Special Synodic Committee on Cultural Identity, on the topic “The Most Holy Theotokos. Defendress of the Nation of the Christians. Defendress of the Nation of the Greeks”.

Thereafter, a brief presentation of this year’s printed special issue on the bicentenary of the 1821 Revolution was carried out by the General Archieratical Commissioner Father Akindynos Dardanos. A reception followed.
