Opening of an Exhibition on “The Art of Icons”The Special Synodic Committee of the Church of Greece on the Academy of Ecclesiastical Arts organises an Exhibition on “THE ART OF ICONS” which comprises works by modern artists from all around Greece, with reference to the Saint Neomartyrs and the heroes of the Greek Revolution of 1821.
The opening of the Exhibition will be carried out by HB Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and all Greece on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 19h, in the Cultural Centre of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, at 15, Megalou Vassileiou Street, in the Rouf area.
The entry to the area of the Exhibition, where all the measures for the protection from the Coronavirus will be observed, will be allowed only upon display of a vaccination or recovery certificate.
The Exhibition will run until Sunday, December 5, and on the following days:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays : 10h – 13h30;
- Sundays : 11h30 –13h30, guided tours will be held for groups of visitors and pupils from schools by the Curator of the Exhibition Mr Evanghelos Pappas.
