This week the events of the Holy Metropolitanates of Greece for the bicentenary of the commencement of the Greek Revolution will be continued.

Specifically:

Thursday, May 20, 2021

Most Rev. Metropolitan Chryssostomos of Triphylia and Olympia will perform a Trisagion in the holy church of the Resurrection in the area of Tambouria of Triphylia in memory of Archimandrite Gregorios Dikaios Papaflessas and his co-warriors, who fell fighting against the forces of Ibrahim on May 20, 1825. During the Trisagion, all the measures stipulated for the protection from the pandemic will be strictly observed.

Friday, May 21

At 19h, the Holy Metropolitanate of Phthiotis will organize an online event on the topic “The financial contribution of the Holy Monasteries in the years of the Revolution”.

Sunday, May 23

At 19h the same Metropolitanate will organize an online event on the topic “The 1821 Revolution in Lokris”.

The events will be broadcast from the official website of the Church of Greece as well as from the website of the Holy Metropolitanate.
